Russell Colwell

Russell Colwell age 78 of Rocky Top, TN passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at his residence. Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved the Lord and reading his bible. Russell was always known to put others before himself. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Maggie Colwell; son, Burtus Colwell; brothers, Iry Dale Colwell (Blackie), Fred Colwell; sisters, Gladys Feltner, Audrey Irvin Miller, Gerldean Sizemore Wood; grandchildren, Mary Jane Colwell, and Candice Colwell. Russell is survived by his wife, Shirley Colwell of Rocky Top, TN; sons, Felix Colwell of Rocky Top, TN, Tim Bryant of Jacksboro, TN, Mark Bryant & fiancé, Michelle Brown of Clinton, TN, Russell Dean Colwell of Frankfort, KY, Bill Miller & wife, Linda of Alaska; daughters, Karen Bullock & husband, Mike of Clinton, TN, and Sondra Ray & husband, Rick of Clinton, TN. Russell also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Russell’s family and friends will have a graveside service for him at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Glen Foust Cemetery in Rocky Top, TN with Rev. James Adkins officiating.
