Roy E. Woodward, 84, Clinton, TN passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at his home in Clinton with his wife of 61 years, Dorothy by his side. After their marriage in 1957 Roy worked mostly in the insurance business, which led to them traveling to many different cities and making friends along the way. In retirement, they returned to East Tennessee and settled in Clinton.
His family and friends will always remember his generosity, sense of humor, and devotion to his loved ones.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Earl, Neal, Jay, Faye Perry, and Patsy Guyton.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter Robin (Lee) Cravey; son Neal (Cindy) Woodward; beloved granddaughters Mary Woodward and Hannah Cravey; sister Winnifred Becker; and many nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a private memorial service at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
