Patricia S Mosley

Patricia Ann Sluss Mosley, 75, passed away in her home in Oliver Springs, Tennessee on Friday, October 6, 2023. That night and the days and weeks leading up to her passing she was surrounded by many loved ones.

 

Patricia (Pat or Patty) was born at home in the coal mining community of Jenkinjones, West Virginia. Pat was a 1966 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee. She lived in Asheville, North Carolina with her family for 24 years. Pat retired in 2011 from Asheville High School where she was a beloved secretary. She had a love of history, reading, movies, sewing, gardening, home improvement projects, hiking, traveling and being in the company of family and friends. For the past 13 years, Pat hosted her annual Cozy Cottage Cookout at her house, which she was so very proud of. Pat was a devoted, supportive and loving Mom to 4 children, and Nana to 6 grandchildren, and had 1 great granddaughter. She showed strength and grace from God and faith in God throughout her life. 

 

Already awaiting her arrival in Heaven:  her parents Frank and JoAnn Sluss, her husband of 46 years Charles Mosley Jr. (Butch), their only son Timothy Mosley who was taken at age 51, her precious grandparents and many other precious relatives and dear friends. 

 

Patricia is survived by her daughters Clarissa Morton (husband Kevin), Elizabeth Neumann and Becca Mosley; her brothers Jimmy and Frank Sluss; sisters Debby Sluss and Mona Grubb; her grandchildren Paul Mosley, Lauren Givens (husband Ben), Sydni D. Morton, Joshua Mosley (fiancé Rachel), Logan Morton, Fox Neumann and great granddaughter Zoey Fowler.

 

A receiving of family and friends will be on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, from 4:oopm - 6:00pm with Pat's memorial service to follow at 6:00pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Pastor Steve McDonald and Kevin Morton officiating. Pat's burial will be on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023, at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all services.
