My New Home
In memory of Opal Lee Martin age 82 of Clinton, TN who passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at The Waters of Clinton formerly Golden Living Center in Clinton.
Don’t weep for me even though I’m gone,
I’m happy with Jesus in my beautiful new home.
Oh, it’s so beautiful; I wish you could see the place Jesus prepared for you and for me.
He walked right there with me through the shadow of death, it wasn’t bad at all when I took my last breath.
A beautiful angel came to carry me home, to a place where my soul will never more roam.
We went at such speed, oh, I felt so free and I know with Jesus forever I’ll be.
I felt so free like a beautiful dove.
I’m happy here with Jesus in my home up above.
My life down on earth was such a short span,
Now I’m happy here with Jesus in this beautiful land.
The streets are of gold, such a beautiful sight,
No need for the sun, for Jesus is the light.
Just look up toward heaven at the beautiful stars,
and say of my soul, well, I know where you are.
Well you’re up there with Jesus and please try to see,
at last I can say I’m free, I’m free.
My life down on earth had sunshine and rain.
It was full of trials, some dark clouds and pain,
so don’t cry for me, my precious friend;
I’m living in a land that has no end.
Prepare yourself to meet me someday,
in this beautiful home that is so far away.
Give your life to Jesus, he can set you free.
Then with him dear friend, forever we’ll be.
