Obituary of Myrtice Blanton McMahan

Myrtice Blanton McMahan age 82 of Clinton, TN passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at The Waters of Clinton in Clinton, TN. She was a loving wife and mother. Myrtice retired from the Anderson County School system. She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Lake City, TN. Myrtice loved her church and flowers.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at The Waters of Clinton for the wonderful care and support for over 31 months.

Myrtice is preceded in death by her parents, Delos Blanton Sr and Mamie Norman Blanton; and son, Greggory Keith McMahan.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ted McMahan of Clinton, TN; son, Kevin McMahan and wife Angie of Clinton, TN; brothers, Curtis Blanton and wife Janice of Sylva, NC, Emerson "Pete" Blanton and wife Margaret of Sylva, NC, and Delos Blanton Jr and wife Nancy of Lockhart, SC; step grandson, Michael Bavousett; 2 step great granddaughters, Micha and Linvi; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Myrtice's family will receive her friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the chapel of Jones with her funeral service following at 1:00pm with Delos Blanton Jr and Brian Thomas officiating. Her interment will follow her funeral service at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
