Linda Sue Boyd age 74, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her biggest goal to achieve was to go back to school and get a degree in nursing, and became an RN when she was 40 years old, and retired from Lakeshore Mental Health Institute in Knoxville, TN. She was honored to be a military wife. Linda had a good sense of humor and enjoyed life. She was a collector of crystal, bubble fairies, tinker bells, and beanie babies.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Rhoda Osborne; husband, Lawrence Boyd; and her brothers, Buster Osborne, and Wayne Osborne.
Linda is survived by her sons, Larry Boyd and wife, Teresa of St. James City, FL, Chris Boyd and wife, Angela of Lewisville, NC; daughter, Laura Boyd of Knoxville, TN; brother, Bob Osborne and wife, Kathy of Richlands, VA; sister, Jean Lester and husband, Joe of Cedar Bluff, VA, grandchildren, Stephanie Boyd, Taylor Boyd, Chris Boyd, Carter Boyd, Christopher Perry, Laken Perry, and Brooklyn Perry; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Linda’s family and friends will have a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Bishop McCool, and Bro. Phillip Horton officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
