Leatha Joyce Lee-Polson, born September 21, 1930 in Harriman Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Albert S. Polson, Jr.
Leatha is the mother of six sons and one daughter, Jim Polson & wife Pennie, Steve Polson & wife Susan, Doug Polson, Jeff Polson & wife Kathie, Mark Polson & wife Mandy, Kim Polson, and Philip Polson & wife Tammy. She's the grandmother of 15 grandchildren - Preceded in death by granddaughters, Tara and Erin, survived by grandchildren - Lance, Matt & wife Jenn, Ami, Bryan & wife Alicia, Rebecca, Brandie, Kristie, Greg & wife Sarah, Paige, Micah & wife Clarissa, Kayla, Kara & husband Josh, and Alisha. She's the great-grandmother of 6 great-grandchildren - Wyatt, Miranda, Lane, Jake, Gabriel, and Nova-Jean. She's also survived by one sister, Janice Norman & husband Glenn.
Leatha was a graduate of Harriman High School in Harriman, Tennessee. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Servants Hope Group from Knoxville Christian Center, under the leadership of Linda Dearing.
The family will have a funeral service at 2pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary on Sunday, October 12, 2014 with Rev. Philip Polson officiating.
