James C. Ridenour age 78 of Andersonville, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. James was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Andersonville and the owner of James C. Ridenour Construction. He was the best husband in the world to Uvonnia for 55 years. James enjoyed spending time with his wife & kids, camping, working the farm, building houses, hunting, fishing, & helping people. He loved his grandkids & great grandkids. James was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison & Goldie Ridenour; brothers, Mayo, Henry, & Milburn Ridenour; sisters, Georgia Lee Conley, Dorothy Terry, Callie Seiber, & Lois Lawson; brothers-in-law, James Keeton & Mirma Hatmaker.
James is survived by his wife, Uvonnia; sons, Glenn Ridenour & wife Mary, Kent Ridenour & wife Sharon, Jimmy Ridenour & wife Shannon all of Andersonville, TN; daughter, Pamela Mack & husband Eric of Clinton, TN; brothers, Benny Ridenour & wife Sandy of Andersonville, TN, Bishop Ridenour & wife Betty of Friendsville, TN, and Larry Ridenour & wife Brenda of Andersonville, TN; sisters, Iva Rae Keeton of Ohio and Mary Jo Hatmaker of Andersonville, TN; grandchildren, Kelsey, Brittany, Christopher, Amber, Tiffany, Aaron, Isaac, Samuel, Emma, Eric Jr., Goldie, Daniel, and Eric D.; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Noah, Cameron, Abigail, Caiden, Rhiannon, Aden, Cage, Katie, and Valorie; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
James’ family will receive his friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN with his funeral service immediately following at 8:00pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Larry Ridenour and Rev. David Seiber officiating. James’ interment will be Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Andersonville with full military honors.
