Hazel Howland Boucher, born Hazel Clough Howland age 76, of Clinton, TN passed away 0n Friday, June 14, 2013 at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville. Hazel grew up in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts. Hazel enjoyed a full life as a daughter, wife, mother, and teacher. She retired from IBM after 25 years of employment as an Editor. She had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed traveling. While living in North Carolina she created a beautiful garden of iris and columbine. She was talented at sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery and passed these skills on to her children.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith Howland.
Her husband at the time of her death, Ronald DeVere Boucher, died on May 1, 2019.
She is survived by herdaughters, Hazel Berger of Marietta, Ga., and Rachel Bodner of Newnan, Ga.; sister, Carolyn McEwen of Florida; Cole, Josh, Abby, Tyler, and Olivia (her grandchildren);and a host of other relatives and friends.
Hazel's services in Clinton will be private. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of local arrangements.
