George M. Rimel III better known as Skip age 45 of Oak Ridge,TN returned to the giver of life Jesus his savior on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his residence. He was employed at Y-12 Oak Ridge by U.R.S. as a chemical operator. Skip had worked at both X10 and K25 as a lab technician. He was a member of I.U.C.W. Union, and BNI Small Business Networking Group. Skip had big dreams for his business Diamond Floor Care. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Martial Arts. Skip was an E. Mate on the George C. Marshell 654, and Kamehameha 642 NURK Sub. He was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Bethel Apostolic Temple in Knoxville,TN, baptized in Jesus name and Holy Ghost filled. He loved the word of God and sharing his faith and working with the men's and youth program. Skip was loved and will be missed by all that knew him. Skip was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Rimel Sr. & Bernice; and grandfather, Walter Daniels.
He is survived by his parents, George Rimel II & Donna of Clinton,TN; wife, Shelah Rimel of Oak Ridge,TN; daughters, Tasha Fortner & husband Todd of Harrogate, TN, Amanda Brown & husband Derick of Clinton, TN; son, Badih El-Chaar of Oak Ridge,TN; grandmother, Irene Daniels of Middlesboro, KY; grandchildren, Cassidy Combs, Victoria Fortner, Elias El-Chaar, Ryleigh Brown, Tyler Brown, Miya Riggs, Justin Fortner, Elise Fortner and soon to be born grandchild. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.
Skip's family will receive his friends on Tuesday, June 12th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Eagle Bend Apostolic Church in Clinton, TN. Skip's celebration of life will be Wednesday, June 13th at 1:00 pm at Eagle Bend Apostolic Church with Bishop Kelvin Cash, Rev. David Triplett, and Rev. Clyde Hooks officiating. His interment will be Wednesday, June 13th at 4:00 pm at the Duncan Cemetery in Tazewell, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
