Gary Cheatwood

Gary Cheatwood age 51 of Clinton, TN passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Gary attended the Houston Community College, got his degree in nursing and was an ER Staff nurse. He was an RN and traveled all over the world helping those who were in need, and especially enjoyed taking care of children who were very ill. He used his nursing skills in Mexico, and during Katrina. Gary is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sie & Helen Turner; stepfather, Harold Crowley; niece, Aalyah Slack; and nephew, Matthew Cheatwood. He is survived by his father, Roy Cheatwood of Dothan, AL; mother, Gail Cheatwood Crowley of Clinton, TN; brother, Mike Green & wife Leann of Knoxville, TN; sister, Michelle Paige & significant other, Albert Slack of Clinton, TN; nieces, Ashley and Shelby Cheatwood; nephews, Terry Paige, and Cody Cheatwood. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. Gary's family will receive his friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with his celebration of life following at 8:00 in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. Gary's interment will be private. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
