Faye Goodman age 87 of Clinton, TN passed away after having a brief battle with pneumonia on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Faye was a very loving mother of her 3 children, son, Robert Jr. whom she was very proud of for serving his country in the US Army and in the Viet Nam war; son, Ron whom she was proud of for serving his country in the U.S. Marines; daughter, Connie whom she enjoyed sewing and provided her uniform when Connie won Ms. Majorette of Kentucky. Faye was also a very loving grandmother, great grandmother. She enjoyed searching genealogy for some 50 years. Faye loved reading, especially the bible on her kindle, the computer, playing the organ, and working crossword puzzles or puzzles of any kind, her dog, Buddy, quilting, sewing, and dancing with her husband of 50 plus years. Her favorite color was pink. She retired in 1976 from Lexington, KY Blue Grass Army Depot.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Useful and Dessie Lorene Osborne; her husband, Robert Clifton Goodman Sr.; brothers, J.J. Osborne, and Denny Osborne.
Faye is survived by her sons, Robert Goodman Jr and wife, Annie of Clinton, TN, Ronald Goodman and wife, Debbie of California; daughter, Connie Goodman Noller and husband, Paul of Lexington, KY; brother, Jack Osborne and wife, Helen of Clinton, TN; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Faye’s family will receive her friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am in the chapel of Jones Mortuary on Thursday, April 28th with Pastor David Speas officiating. Faye’s interment will be private for family only after her funeral service at the Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
