Evelyn Vowell

November 10, 1935 — October 5, 2023

Evelyn Vowell, age 87 of Clinton, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023

at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Evelyn was born November 10, 1935 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late John L and

Revialla Daugherty Noe.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Campbell County, where she attended

faithfully when she was able.

Evelyn worked in the catalogue department at JC Penney in Oak Ridge where she loved

meeting people and making new friends. She retired after more than 25 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids, who

were the light of her life. She was loved by several nieces and nephews and many friends. Her

laughter and humor were infectious to those around her. She was known for her generosity and

an empathetic love for others that was to be admired.

The family will receive friends at Jones Mortuary in Clinton on October 13, 2023 from 1-3 PM.

The funeral service will be at 3 PM followed by a graveside service at Leach Cemetery in Rocky

Top, Tennessee.
