Evelyn Hayes

Evelyn Hayes age 78 of Briceville, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. Evelyn also loved reading and flowers. She was a member of Tennessee Hollow Baptist Church in Briceville. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Emma Burris; father and mother- in -law, John and Opal Hayes; brother, J.C. Burris; son, Kenny Hayes; sisters- in -law, Sandy Burris and Jean Burris. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy Hayes of Briceville, TN; sons, Kelly Hayes and fiancé Rebecca Elliott of Lake City, TN and Mark Hayes of Briceville, TN; daughter, Tammy Williams of Briceville, TN and daughter-in-law, Angela Hayes; brothers, Albert Burris and wife Vickey of Lake City, TN, Arville Lee Burris and wife Ruth of Cleveland, OH, and Johnny Burris of Missouri ; sister, Lillie Roland of Briceville, TN; grandchildren, Tesa Sherwood and husband Andy, B.J. Williams, Michael Matlock, Derek Hayes, Ethan Hayes, and Emma Johnson; great grandchildren, Dylan Sherwood, Hayden Sherwood, Chad Williams, Logan Vanover, Maci Williams, Autumn Hayes and a host of other relatives and friends. Evelyn’s family will receive her friends on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with her funeral service immediately following at 7:00pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN with Ricky Hayes officiating. Evelyn’s interment will be Friday, May 13, 2016 at Circle Cemetery in Briceville, TN at 11:00am.
