Ernie Charles Norton

Ernie Charles Norton, age 68 of Corryton, Tn. passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 following a period of declining health. Ernie was a self-employed carpenter, and member of Island Ford Baptist Church.

Born in Knoxville, Tn. on April 7, 1956 he was the son of the late Ernest Norton and Mary Jo Ridenour Norton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Norton; step-father: Mirma Hatmaker; brothers: Michael Hatmaker and Dale Hatmaker; sisters: Rita Hensley and Myra King.

Ernie is survived by his sons: Mitchell (Suzanne) Norton of Knoxville, Sammy (Haley) Norton of Andersonville and Aaron (Susan) Belcher of Unionville; daughters: Shiann (Steven) Mariott of Corryton, Crystal Vaughn of Clinton and Tammy (David) Clark of Jacksboro; brother: Ernest A. Norton, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky; sister: Ann (John) Hill; 18 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The Norton Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 with funeral service starting at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Justin Pratt will officiate, and Dan Hatmaker and Rob Maddox providing the music.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville.
