Dorothy McGill, age 79, of Knoxville, TN passed away, Monday, September 23, 2013 at NHC in Knoxville, TN. Dorothy was the world's greatest mother ever known and our best friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Myrtle Christopher; husband, Paul McGill; son, Jimmy Ray McGill; and brother, Marion Henry Christopher. Dorothy is survived by her sons, James Edward McGill of Knoxville, TN, Lawrence Buford McGill & wife Priscilla of Knoxville, TN, Harold McGill & wife Lisa of GA, Freddie McGill and Courtney of Clinton, TN; brother Johnny Christopher & wife Charlotte of FL; sister, Mamie Arzella Collins of GA; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorothy's family and friends will meet at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 28th for her graveside service at Pleasant View Baptist Church cemetery in Clinton, TN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jones Mortuary LLC., 375 N Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
