Brenda Kay Hinkle Day age 55 of Clinton, TN passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at her home. She was a very loving wife of 30 years. Brenda Kay was a very kind and giving person and her mission was to help others who were in need. She enjoyed rescuing animals, and was highly respected by the Oak Ridge and Anderson County Humane Society. Brenda Kay loved gardening. She was very artistic and had taken art classes at Union College in Kentucky.
Brenda Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and America Hinkle.
Brenda Kay is survived by her husband, Stephen Day of Clinton, TN; brothers, Oliver, Gary, Charlie, and Jerry of Kentucky; sisters, Betty and Sheila of Kentucky, and Lynn of Virginia. She also leaves behind sister in law, DeAnna Hatmaker and husband, Dan, special nephew, Nikolaus Hatmaker, numerous other nephews, nieces, special friends, Nancy McMillian, and David & Helen Baker, and a host of relatives and friends.

Brenda Kay’s family will receive her friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Barbourville Funeral Home in Barbourville, KY, also on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. Brenda Kay’s interment will be1:30 pm on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the East Tennessee State Veterans cemetery in Knoxville, TN with Bro. Robert Jones officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
