Betty Kay York

Betty Kay York, age 82 passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee surrounded by her loved ones. Betty was the daughter of the late Clarence and Sarah Lunsford. Betty was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Betty is preceded in death along with her parents, her husband, her son Roger York, son-in-law Lee Pressley. She is survived by her sons Albert York of New Mexico and Charlie and Dorothy York of Knoxville, Tn. Daughters JoAnn and Aaron Irwin of Clinton, Tn, Barbara York and Mapuana of New Mexico, Brenda and David of Florida, Debbie Pressley of Knoxville, Tn, Daughter-in-law Connie York of Athens, Tn. Brother’s Raymond Lunsford and Shirley of Lewisburg, Tn, Fred Hinkle of Clinton, Tn. Sister’s Guyoma Bryant of Black Mountain, Ky, Wanda Singer and Ron of Springsboro, Oh, and fiancé James Freeze. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family of Ms. York will be receiving friends on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 6 pm to 8 pm and also on Sunday October 20, 2024 from 6 pm to 7 pm with a celebration of life following at 7 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary.
