Barbara Lynn Masters

Barbara Lynn Masters (Kerestessy), Age 64, of Caryville TN peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on February 21, 2025. Barbara was born November 11, 1960, in Huntington, Long Island, and lived her life proud of being a “New Yorka.”

Barbara, lovingly known as Nana to many, will be forever remembered and deeply missed by those she has left behind; her life partner, Joseph affectionately known as Country, her children, Jessica (son-in-law Marvin), Danielle, and Michael. Her cherished grandson, Jeremey, was the light of her life. As one of five children, she is survived by her two brothers, Jack and Arthur, with whom she shared a special bond. Among those whose hearts will forever remember Barbara are the many people who have become family over the years; Jennifer Neighbert, honorary daughter, and her four girls Barbara considered grandchildren Victoria, Kayleigh, Brooklin, and Lynleigh as well as countless friends and extended family. Barbara dedicated her life to her family, friends, and beloved animals whose lives have been forever and irrevocably changed for the better.

Barbara was a fierce and determined overcomer whose stubbornness helped her get exactly what she wanted out of life. Her resilience and tenacity were an inspiration for those she loved, proving that life is what you make it. Barbara will be fondly remembered for her deep love of Christmas – her favorite time of year - and all the decorations, baking, and joy that came with that time. She had a passion for puzzles, dollhouses, vibrant hair, and keeping her nails done. Her humor, generosity, and the endless ways that she made others feel special, loved, and cared for will never be forgotten.

The family is choosing to honor her wishes and privately celebrate her life at a later time.
