Aaron G. Harber, age 89 of Clinton, Tn. passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Arron was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton, and past-president of the Clinton Optimist Club. He also started a girls’ softball league in South Clinton, was a former girls’ softball coach and was a ASA Umpire for fifteen years. Aaron served several years in the Army National Guard.
Born in Pennington Gap, Va. on March 8, 1935 he was the son of the late John G. Harber, Sr. and Elma Orr Harber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Anne Orr Harber; brothers: Paul Ray Harber, John G. Harber and Glenn Harber; sister: Vesta Beth Foust.
Aaron is survived by a son: Michael Barber Harber of Clinton; daughers: Debroah Daoud of Clinton, and Donna Antalak (Bob); brother: Roy Lee Harber of Claxton; two grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Harber Family on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Jones Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will start at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Danny Chisholm officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
