Louise Maire Higgins age 84 ofClinton,TNpassed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Summit View HealthCare Center inLake City, TN. Louise was born inClinton,TN. She married Arthur G. Higgins in 1945 and moved to Mannsville,NY and moved back to Clinton, TNf or remaining of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and loved her family. Louise was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, S.B. and Bessie Maire; husband, Arthur G. Higgins; son, Arthur S. (Butch) Higgins; sisters, Margueritte Bruce, June Bishop and brother, Luther Miller.

Survivor: son, James A. Higgins of Clinton, TN; daughter,  Susan Horack and husband James of Poland, OH; granddaughter, Rebecca Louise Horack of  OH. She also leaves behind a special cousin, Edna Farmer, several nieces, nephews, many  cousins, friends and a host of other relatives and friends.

Louise’s family and friends will have services at a later date. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.

Davis, Christopher

December 6th, 2011

Christopher Davis age 29 of Heiskell, TN passed away Friday, December 02, 2011 at Norris Health and Rehabilitation Center in Norris, TN due to traumatic brain injury which he sustained on November 1, 2009. Chris gave his life to the Lord while he was in UT Medical Center. There were many times while he spent time in the nursing home that the staff would call the family and tell them they didn’t think he would make it through the night, but he fought very hard for his life. Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bart Pratt; great grandparents, George & Della Cox and best friend, Chris Woods.

Survivors: Mother & Father, Shelly & Alvin Lowe of Heiskell, TN; grandmother, Nellie Cox Pratt of Heiskell, TN and Letha Lowe of Clinton, TN; 5 year old son whom he loved very much, Dylan Davis of Heiskell, TN; aunt: Kimberly Pratt of Clinton, TN; sister and brother in law, Stanja & Robert Phillips of Heiskell, TN; nephew & niece, Robert (Gabby) and Kleigh Christa Phillips; cousins: Eddie Pratt and Shasta Gilliam; best friend & caretakers, Whitney Bunch and Jonathon Carter, and Mike Carson the Administrator of Norris Health & Rehab Center.

 Chris’s family will receive his friends on Tuesday Dec 6, 2011 from 12 noon to 2 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with his funeral services following at 2 pm in the chapel with Bro. Hammers, Theressia

Theressia Gail Hammers age 60 of Clinton, TN passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her residence. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Theressia loved to sew, quilt, and work puzzles. She was preceded in death by her father William Cleo Carter; First husband, Paul Lynn Rhea Sr.; three grandchildren, Jonathon Rhea, Nicholas Hammers, and Jeffrey Hammers.

Theressia’s family will receive her friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 12-2pm at Eagle Bend Apostolic Church with a Celebration of Life at 2pm following the visitation. Theressia’s interment will follow at Cox Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Dotson, Raymond

December 2nd, 2011

Raymond A. Dotson age 78 of Clinton, TN passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Emeritus Senior Living in Oak Ridge, TN. Raymond was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton and Shriners for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors:  Wife, June Dotson; son, David Dotson & Tina; granddaughter, Grace Dotson; sister-in-law, Carleen Thurman & W.P. all of Clinton, TN.

Raymond’s family held a private graveside service for him on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, TN with Pastor Mike Thompson officiating. Sandra Henderson Nelson, age 64 of Clinton,TN passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at North Knoxville Medical Centerin Powell,TN. Sandra was a member of First Baptist Church in Briceville,TN. She was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to work with children. Sandra had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, James Howard Henderson; brother, Steve Henderson; and father in law, Ray Nelson. 

She is survived by: Mother, Elaine Henderson of Clinton,TN; husband, A. Harold Nelson of Clinton, TN; sons, Darin Nelson & wife Cristy of Andersonville,TN, Jason Nelson of Clinton,TN; daughter, Misty Martin & husband Danny of Clinton, TN; brother, Brant Henderson & wife Judy of Clinton, TN. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Blake Nelson, Adam, Steven and Cadence Martin, Carter and Camden Nelson; niece and husband, Lindsey & Wes Ramey of Johnson City,TN and a host of other relatives and friends.

Delbert (Michael) Moles age 67 of Andersonville, TN, the Lord called his son home on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He was retired from Wakefield Construction Co. Michael served in USMC and was a veteran of Vietnam. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jesse James Moles (Jim); brothers, Kenneth Moles, Charles Moles, Robert Moles; sister, Mary Howard.

Michael is survived by: mother, Miriam Moles; wife of 48 years, Peggy Moles; son, James Moles; daughter, Valerie Johnson & fiancé Lawrence Glass; siblings, Leon Moles & wife Lou Ann, Carl Moles & wife June, Juanita Harrison & husband Ted, Jesse Moles & wife Barbara, Melba Shoenlben & husband Steve, Esther Queener, Arnold Moles & wife Xenia; grandchildren, Aaron Wyatt, David Johnson, Tyler Moles, Candice Elkins, Christina Moles, Brittaney Ford, Kimberly Bailey, Michelle Murphy, and Kendall Johnson; great children, Caiden Elkins, Mason Fields, Chelsea Bailey, Brent Bailey, Graycie Murphy, Jadon Murphy, Alli Hutchins and Kameron Glass. Warwick, Bernice

Bernice Loverne Warwick age 78 of Clinton, TN passed away peacefully on NovemBernice Loverne Warwick age 78 of Clinton, TN passed away peacefully on November 15, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Windwood in Clinton, TN in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ. Bernice is remembered so much for her service to others. She invested much of her time in nursing and taking care of the elderly for 30 years. She loved nursing with a passion, and many days worked double and triple shifts. She always answered the call, never able to ignore a need in her family. She stayed with her sick brother 2 years and took care of her mother 3 years. She remained active until she became homebound, then spent the last 1 ½ years at Windwood suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Georgia C. Warwick; sons, Lansing and Douglas Cline; brother, Robert E. Warwick; sister, Marjorie Unthank.

Survivors: son, Gregory Cline of Arizona Patrick Cline of California; daughter, Barbara Cline of California; sisters, Fay Emmett and husband David of Halls, TN, Pat Buchanan and husband Pete of Powell, TN; brother: Leffew Warwick and wife Darlene of Andersonville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Frost of Colorado, Derrick and Michael McBroome of Colorado; great-grandchild, Connor Jessie McBroome of Colorado; special great-great nieces: Ava Smith and Maddie Elliott of Anderson County, TN.

 Family and friends will meet Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville, TN for a graveside service and interment with Rev. Ruth Cortez age 89 of Clinton, TN passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Norris Health and Rehab Center in Norris, TN.  Ruth was a loving wife. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge, TN

Ruth is survived by her husband, John Cortez of Clinton, TN and several other relatives and friends.

Larry Snellings Sr. age 59 of Clinton, TN passed away suddenly Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Larry was of the Baptist faith.  Larry had worked at Modine for 36 years and 4 months before the plant shut down. Larry enjoyed life and doing for others and making them laugh. All those that were close to Larry were aware of his great integrity and character. Larry enjoyed giving special nicknames to all his family and friends. He enjoyed gulfing, collecting guns and knives. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.M. & Allien Snellings; grandparents, Ralph & Lillian Thurman and Harve & Cynthia Snellings.

Walter Crabtree age 77 of Clinton, TN a man of the Christian faith went to be with the Lord early Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Walter was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Cold War. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, William & Mae Crabtree; brother, Lloyd Crabtree, sisters, Clara Taylor and Kathy Viola Gore.
