Stephen Jaynes age 45 of Clinton, TN passed away Tuesday July 20, 2010 at his residence. Stephen was a veteran of Desert Shield/Storm War.

Stephen’s family and friends will meet at the Veterans State Cemetery in Knoxville, TN for a graveside service on Monday July 26th at 1:30 PM with full military honors. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.

Miller, Edith

Edith Miller age 92 of Clinton, TN passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at St. Mary’s North Health System in Knoxville, TN. Edith was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She loved her flowers, and going to church where she was a member at North Clinton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Eugene Miller; daughter, Weita West; brothers, Tom & Dan Chesher; sisters, Blanch Collins, Rosamay Monday and Hallie Smith.

 

Survivors: Sons, James Miller & wife Amelia of AR, Steve Miller & wife Kathy of Clinton, TN: Daughter, Hallie Roberts of Clinton, TN; Brother: UT Chesher of FL; Sisters, Frances Price of Clinton, TN, Betty Jo Brown of IN, Cornitta Pickett of IN. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and best friends Edith Vanhuss and Mrs. Webber.

 

Edith’s family will receive her friends on Monday July 12th from 6 – 8 PM with her funeral service following at 8 PM in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Bill Tackett officiating. Robert C. Hawkins age 58 of Clinton, TN passed away Saturday June 26, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Robert was a very good woodsman, hunter, and especially deer hunter. He was also an excellent marksman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Hawkins; wife, Peggy Sue Hawkins.

Stacie C. Hammock age 92 of Clinton, TN, formerly of the Dutch Valley Community passed away Tuesday June 22, 2010 at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge.  Stacie was a devoted Christian and was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Dutch Valley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers, she taught Sunday School at Valley View Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Thomas & Celia Byrge Craig, Husband; Jack Hammock, Brothers; Stanley & Hurstle Craig and Sister; Stella Murray.

Arnold Haddix age 70 of Knoxville, TN passed away Saturday June 12, 2010 at his residence.  Arnold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Florence Haddix; Son, Gregory Scotty Haddix; Brothers, Donald & Marvin Haddix; and Sister, Virginia Yarber.

Peggy Sue Hawkins age 52 of Clinton, TN went home to be with her Lord on  Monday May 31, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Peggy loved God and was a member of Crossroads Christ Fellowship Church in Claxton, TN. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved all of her family.  She enjoyed music, singing and dancing. She was preceded in death by her Father, Lonnie Herrell; Step Father, James T. Hill; Grandparents, Harvey & Minnie Elliott.

She loved her church and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She loved working with flowers and enjoyed bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Margaret Dinkins; husband, R.L. Summers Sr.; sons, R.L. Summers Jr. and Leroy (Hot Shot) Summers; grandson, Johnny Summers; brother, Ralph Dinkins; son in law, Charles Beets; and sister in law, Earnastine Dinkins.

Stella McDaniel age 98 of Clinton, TN passed away Friday May 14, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Stella was a member of the Eastern Star and Farmers Grove Baptist Church. Stella was well known for baking bread for churches for the Lords Supper. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, reading her Bible daily and was a prayer warrior. She loved playing Santa Clause, loved her friends, neighbors and having a good time with a great since of humor.  She was a role model to all.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Nancy Christenberry; Husbands, Hubert Harness and O.C. McDaniel; Son, W.L. (Dub) Harness; Brother, C.R. Christenberry; Sister, Myrtle Baker and Christine Christenberry; Son in law, Jack Kelly; Grandsons, David Wayne Kelly & Lynn Harness; Grand son in law, Tommy Hendricks.

Edith M. Elliott age 67 of Powell, TN went to her heavenly home on Wednesday May 12, 2010. Edith was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She loved singing for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She also enjoyed being outside listening to her wind chimes and growing flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elma Kay & Randall Hankins and Ralph & Cleo Smith; Brothers, Hoyle, Doyle, & John Ray Hankins.
