Jones Mortuary LLC is a full service mortuary providing all types of funerals services, cremation, and memorial services. With over 10,000 square feet and the largest chapel in Anderson County, TN (with a seating capacity of 200) Jones Mortuary is more than able to serve your family's needs.

Robert Jones, the owner and head Funeral Director, has over 23 years in the death care profession, working for corporations and independent funeral home owners. Robert became increasingly frustrated with the manner in which families were being treated. More and more the owners were focusing on profit and concern with overhead and less and less on the family's needs and concern for what the families wanted for their love ones.

For example, families were being told that you had to embalm if you had a public viewing. If you didn’t embalm then you had to purchase a casket that seals in order to have a receiving of friends or funeral service. This was in addition to the ever increasing cost of services, which in most cases were marked up 400-600% making the average funeral cost anywhere from $9,000 to $11,000 or more. This troubled Mr. Jones greatly, and after expressing these concerns with no results, Robert realized that he was appearantly some what of a misfit in the corporate word of funeral homes.

Robert began speaking with friends and family and learned that, in fact, 70% of most families suffering a loss felt they had been taken advantage of or were misled about the laws and requirements. After much prayer, fasting, and council Robert, his wife Kathy, and their children bought a historical building in the heart of downtown Clinton.

After extensive restoration and remodeling, Jones Mortuary LLC opened in March of 2004. With a focus on putting families first, Jones Mortuary is known as a mortuary that is both professional and affordable. Our goal is that families are never charged more for funeral services than they should pay.

Additionally, the entire staff has had extensive training and has been educated in dealing with different religions, beliefs, nationalities, and races. Every family is respected and given the freedom they deserve to take care of their loved one as they wish.

Robert has made it a point to see that the public is informed with correct information and he is available for speaking engagements on subjects such as "What Most Funeral Homes Don’t Want you To Know", "How Much Does A Funeral Really Cost", "Is It The Law or is it Their Law", "Celebration Of Life — it Does Matter", "Working With Pastors from the Funeral Director Perspective" and others.
